Claudio Mus, born in 1964 , graduated from the Turin Polytechnic - Italy in aeronautical engineering in 1987, his thesis on Metal Matrix Composites was awarded by the Automotive Technical Association.
Early in his career he was researcher at FIAT Research Center, dealing with metallic materials and related transformations technologies, CAD-CAE methodologies, FEM structural design and foundry processes simulation.
He joined Meridian (CAN), world leader in the magnesium high pressure die casting business, launching and managing the new European production plant - MPI, awarded two times from the International Magnesium Association for the best product of the year (1996 & 1997).
Innovation Director in Teksid, FIAT captive foundry company, he developed the Tech Center where he patented 3 new technologies (Liquid Hot Isostatic Pressing, Low Turbolence Precision Sand casting and Hot Runner for Magnesium).
He covered managing positions in Rheinfelden Alloys GMBH (D), Teksid US operations - Teksid Aluminum Foundry in Tennessee , Teksid Aluminum Components – in Alabama and Ferrari foundry in Maranello (I), serving as internal advisor for the Company’s technologies road map definition, both for series and Formula 1 engines, body and chassis.
Taking advantage of an +20 years experience in the automotive industry with several responsibilities ranging from applied research to innovation, from methodologies and light alloys product development to production plants managing position, he is author of several publications and invited papers.
He is actually Technical and R&D director of Endurance Overseas.
