Franco Cevolini was born in Modena, Italy.
He attended University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and graduated in Materials Engineering.
He currently serves as Chairman, Energica Motor Company S.p.A. and CEO and Technical Director, CRP Meccanica and CRP Technology, Energica’s parent companies.
In November 1996 he established CRP Technology as a spin off of Roberto Cevolini & Company (now CRP Meccanica), inheriting his father’s thirty-years experience and know-how in High Precision CNC Machining. Franco Cevolini was appointed as the company’s new Chairman.
In 1999 he pioneered integrated engineering development, rapid prototyping and 3D Printing processes creating a new family of high-performance composite materials: the Windform® composite materials for additive manufacturing.
In 2000 Franco Cevolini managed the development of the first ever gearbox made in titanium alloy cast for Minardi Team.
In the following years CRP Technology became one of the leaders in the production of 3D Printing composite materials and Professional 3D Printing service, whereas CRP Meccanica is, from over 50 years, at the forefront of High-performing CNC Machining process with high-tech materials.
CRP Meccanica and CRP Technology continue to be reference partners of the Racing Industry and of the most advanced industry sectors.
Cevolini is personally involved in the R&D Department of both CRP Meccanica and CRP Technology, in addition to CRP Technology’s 3D Printing Department and CRP Meccanica’s CNC Machining Department.
