Ilaria ROSSO
Project Operations Manager, Alstom
Ilaria is Project Operation Manager of first ever Hydrogen trains in Italy in Alstom Ferrroviaria S.p.A.
Until Feb 2021 Ilaria was Head of Hydrogen Development of ENGIE EPS, now NHOA ENERGY, and member of the Techno & Design team of the global Hydrogen Business Unit of ENGIE.
In 2005 Ilaria co-founded Electro Power Systems, spin-off of Politecnico di Torino become later ENGIE EPS, acting as VP R&D first, VP IP Policy and Public Funding later and finally Chief Innovation Officer.
Ilaria holds a PhD in Chemistry from University of Torino and is an expert in both hydrogen generation and fuel cell technologies; since 1998 Ilaria published more than 50 scientific papers at industry conferences and within international journals.
In 2011 Ilaria received the first ever EU Prize for Women Innovators from the European Commissioner for Research Innovation and Science. Ilaria promotes constantly hydrogen as key vector for energy transition.
Above hydrogen, her family (Ilaria is married with three kids), travelling, trekking and music are major Ilaria’s passions.
