Head of the "Future Cities & Communities" Research Domain - Links Foundation

 

 

 

I am a Transport Civil Engineer and I hold a 2nd level University Master degree in “Transport: systems, networks and infomobility”.
Currently I am the Head of the ""Future Cities and Communities"" research domain at the research institute LINKS Foundation, where I coordinate a team of 30ish researchers composed by engineers, computer and data scientists, mathematicians and planners, complemented by external consultants, PhD and thesis students, and interns.
The applied research projects that I coordinate are focussed on Transport & mobility planning, Sustainable & efficient logistics, Urban regeneration, User-centric planning & design, Climate change & impact assessment, Environmental & Energy Innovation.
I have been involved in more than 15 European projects within the funding programmes H2020, CEF and INTERREG.
I am the author of more than 20 national and international scientific papers related to Mobility drivers, accessibility of TEN-T nodes, urban mobility reorganization and support to strategic transport planning.
Since 2016 I have been a member of the Advisory Board of the Interregional Alliance for the Rhine-Alpine Corridor, composed by European public administrations and stakeholders placed on the TEN-T Corridor Genoa-Rotterdam. From 2015 to 2018 I was a member of the Scientific Committee of TK’Blue Agency, that provides logistics companies with the assessment of their environmental costs and a member of the Board of Directors of the International Institute for Communications, that supports Public Administrations in transport planning.
