Angelo Bonfitto

Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering - Politecnico di Torino

Angelo Bonfitto received his PhD in Mechatronics in 2010 from Politecnico di Torino, where he is now Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMEAS). He is a member of the Interdepartmental Center for Automotive Research and Sustainable Mobility (CARS) of the same University. His scientific research is focused on mechatronics and artificial intelligence for automotive and solutions for vehicle electrification. Specifically, he conducts activities in onboard and remote monitoring and management of batteries for vehicle traction, energy management for hybrid electric powertrains, vehicle virtual sensing, assisted and autonomous vehicle technologies for active safety and comfort optimization.
