Carlo Ferro, President of the Italian Trade Agency since January 2019, has had a career of over 30 years in management, notabnly at STMicroelectronics NV from 1999, where he held various top management positions, rising to President of Finance Legal Infrastructure and Services. As the Group’s Chief Financial Officer for over 15 years, he contributed to the development of one of the spearheads of Italian and European technology worldwide, garnering significant results in terms of growth, employment and value creation.
Carlo Ferro was Deputy Chairman at Assolombarda, as well as the designated representative for Industrial Policies and Revenue and member of the Board of Directors of Digital Innovation Hub Lombardia.
He is currently an advisor to the European Commission as member of the IPCEIC (the Strategic Forum for Important Projects of Common European Interest), as well as adjunct professor at the LUISS Business School, co-scientific director of its post-graduate course in Corporate Finance, lecturer in Planning and Control at the LUISS-Guido Carli faculty of Economics and professor of the post-graduate course in Innovation Management at the Milan Catholic University.
